This year's edition of the Meetings with Health Innovation, under the theme “Advancing High-Value Health Outcomes” will be organized by Health Cluster Portugal in collaboration with the Global Coalition for Value in Healthcare.

The Global Coalition for Value in Healthcare was launched at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in 2019, and is a collaboration between the Forum and public-private partners to promote and drive the transformation of global healthcare systems. The mission of the Coalition is to bring urgency to the challenges our healthcare system face, share experiences, develop best practices and guide the transformation of value-based healthcare (VBHC) systems around the world.

This meeting bring together leaders of the Portuguese healthcare system to inspire action-oriented conversations and next step.

Meetings with Health Innovation will address:

  • The importance of adopting value-based models for greater efficiency in healthcare systems and improved patient outcomes
  • Case study presentations of the Global Coalition’s Innovation Hubs
  • Value-based payment models discussions
  • Insight on the role of data and technology in implementing VBHC models
  • Understanding the role of good governance in health system transformation
  • Reflections on the next steps in the implementation of VBHC models in Portugal
