Miguel has been working in the Venture Capital industry since 1992.

His track record includes some of the most prominent investments in the Venture Capital sector in Portugal. He has served on more than 30 boards of directors.

Previously, he worked in the tourism sector as CFO and a member of the Board of Directors of a publicly listed company.

Alongside his professional career, Miguel has significant academic experience, having taught at HEC Lausanne, ESADE in Barcelona, and later at the University of Minho (Management Control and Corporate Governance).

He holds a degree in Economics (Lausanne) and has further specialized in Finance and Strategic Management (Católica Lisbon), Negotiation (Nova), and Leadership (Harvard). Currently, Miguel is the Investment Director of the Health Technologies business unit at Portugal Ventures.
