Marta Vranas holds a degree in Biochemistry and has over a decade of research experience focused on proteins associated with human diseases, with work carried out in Denmark, Germany, Canada and the United Kingdom. She later transitioned to applied innovation, working in biotechnology and in roles focused on translating scientific knowledge into practical solutions for the Pharma and Life Sciences sectors. 

This combined background led her to INESC TEC’s Technology Transfer Office, where she is an Intellectual Property Manager focusing on the valorisation and transfer of health-related research, translating academic results into societal and market impact.
