Eduardo Barbosa

Eduardo Barbosa is a software engineer and has been a researcher at Fraunhofer AICOS since 2015. He has worked as a Quality Assurance engineer and as a tester in several industry and national-funded projects. He has worked on standardizing software engineering procedures and techniques, and promoting the use of testing techniques inside and outside of Fraunhofer AICOS. He is a certified tester by the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) and a certified requirements engineer by the International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB). In recent years, he has devoted himself to understanding the new medical device regulation (MDR) and its implications for the practice of developing Software as a Medical Device, steering teams towards keeping their software compliant and properly documented.
