Alina Capitanu
Alina Capitanu is Vice-President of the Imago-Mol Cluster, representing the North East Regional Development Agency. She is passionate about catalysing the regional & interregional healthcare innovation ecosystems and increasing the accessibility and quality of medical services for the benefit of the population.
With over 24 years of experience in regional development and project management, she actively contributed to the establishment of the Imago-Mol Cluster 14 years ago and continues to support its strategic growth.
Connecting the regional health ecosystem to European and global networks is one of her key professional goals. Under her involvement, the North East Region became a member of the Smart Specialisation Platform for Personalised Medicine (S3P4PM), the Vanguard Initiative, CEBR, and the global ECHAlliance network, supporting smart healthcare transformation.
Alina is also Chair of the MEDIC NEST Meta Cluster in Precision Medicine, an open European alliance of clusters and business support organisations that promotes inter-cluster, cross-border, and cross-sectoral collaboration to strengthen the growth, competitiveness, and internationalisation of the European Precision Medicine ecosystem.
